Susan Berzas
Performer
Susan’s journey began in the city of New Orleans, specifically the charming community of Metairie, where she spent her childhood and adolescence. Susan graduated from Dominican High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Orleans. Her passion for nurturing and supporting others led her to a career in nursing, a field where she finds immense fulfillment. Beyond her professional life, Susan spends her time with family, friends, and enjoys the culture and vibrant community spirit that New Orleans has to offer.
Susan’s passion for the arts, particularly dance, has been a constant thread throughout her life. From the grace of ballet in her youth to the high-spirited routines of the Jesuit Jayettes during her high school years, performance has always held a special place in her heart. Although other pursuits occupied her time for a period, her desire to perform never faded. This yearning led Susan to The Jamettes, a renowned New Orleans dance krewe. This experience has been transformative, not just for its emphasis on dance and performance, but also for the incredible community she found.
Through this organization, Susan participates in numerous Mardi Gras parades, local events, and, most recently, a truly memorable performance at Super Bowl LIX. Now, as a member of The Fenomenons, Susan is eager to embrace the unique choreographic styles this ensemble has to offer and looks forward to pushing her creative boundaries even further.
